Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer – SME to serve as technical authority for electrical infrastructure in hyperscale and mission-critical facilities. You will shape architecture from utility interconnection through IT load, directing design, reviews, and mentorship across global delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE License active in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; NCEES record preferred.
• 15–20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in data centers or similar.
• Experience with MV/LV distribution, substations, transformers, UPS systems.
• Travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical architecture decisions from utility to IT load.
• Provide senior technical leadership for MV/LV distribution and related systems.
• Review calculations, drawings, specifications, and major design packages.
• Support project execution from planning through turnover; handle RFIs and changes.
• Lead FAT/SAT commissioning for critical-power systems.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical governance.
