Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking an Electrical Engineer / Project Designer to join our multidisciplinary group in Butler, PA or Pittsburgh, PA. You will lead electrical design for projects, specify systems for power, lighting, fire alarm and low voltage, and guide junior staff while coordinating with other disciplines.

Responsibilities include design development, calculations, field work, and ensuring code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a lighting/electrical emphasis.
• Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA, IBC, and energy codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical design documentation using Revit/AutoCAD and guide junior staff.
• Lead design development through sketches, calculations, models, and diagrams.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical and other disciplines to ensure design intent.
• Perform field checks and review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and site observations.
• Mentor staff and develop their technical abilities and career goals.
