Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to serve as the technical lead on complex projects. The role oversees a team of engineers and designers through all lifecycle phases, delivering electrical systems for healthcare, commercial, and research facilities.

The position can be located in multiple Northeast offices, including Butler, PA. It requires strong leadership, client engagement, and deep knowledge of power, lighting, and low voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with a lighting/electrical emphasis.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• Minimum 15 years in related professional experience preferred.
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA Standards, IBC and Energy Codes.

Responsibilities

• Leads work on multiple projects with a team of design colleagues to develop full documentation for new construction and renovations.
• Provides supervision to staff and mentors to strengthen technical abilities.
• Leads in client meetings to establish design criteria and review progress.
• Leads evaluation and engineering of electrical systems and products.
• Coordinates project specifications with construction documents.
