Job summary

ON.energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Battery Systems, Controls & EMS Integration to lead design, validation, and optimization of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System projects supporting next-generation data centers and grid applications. You will drive battery sizing, technology evaluation, and EMS/Plant Controller integration in a highly collaborative energy storage team.

Reporting to the Chief Electrical Engineer, you will leverage Python, PSCAD and MATLAB for analyses,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience focused on battery systems.
• Deep knowledge of battery sizing, lifecycle modeling, and BESS vendor evaluation.
• Experience with PSCAD and MATLAB.
• Strong experience leading EMS/Plant Controller integration and SCADA.
• Proficient in Python, VS Code, Jupyter Notebooks, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Battery sizing and lifecycle modeling.
