Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG program at Tinker AFB, OK. You will lead electrical/electronic design efforts for aeronautical systems, provide technical leadership, and ensure compliance with USAF processes.

A TS/SCI eligible clearance is required, with 12+ years in DoD engineering or 10 years with a Masters. Travel up to 10% and ability to obtain SCI/SAP access are necessary.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI and access to SAP; background investigation current within 5 years or under Continuous Vetting.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from ABET accredited program with minimum 12 years experience in engineering with DoD, govt agency, or DoD contractor.
• Masters Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from ABET accredited program and minimum 10 years experience in engineering with DoD, govt agency, or DoD contractor.
• Minimum of 3 years of SAP experience within the last 8 years.
• Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in R&D, testing, evaluation, operation and maintenance of electrical devices/systems on aeronautical vehicle systems and avionics.
• Serve as technical expert and provide leadership to address problems and projects related to sustaining engineering.
• Develop and review system electrical/electronic design baseline architecture and interoperability requirements.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, development, and testing of software, electrical and electronics.
• Provide integration support for acquisition, development, sustainment and verification of systems, software and equipment; adhere to USAF engineering processes and V diagram.
• Evaluate system test plans and participate in system, subsystem, and component testing.
• Demonstrate familiarity with USAF technical orders and depot/field engineering support.
• Provide electronics engineering support during root cause analyses and use the USAF eight step process.
• Read and generate changes to electrical and electronic drawings and mechanical drawings.
• Interpret CAD software for mechanical and electrical systems and model-based design concepts.
• Develop technical papers/presentations and communicate concepts to the program team.
• Support development and review of program and contract documentation.
• Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
• Perform technical risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering ABET accredited

Masters Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a Bachelor’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering ABET accredited
