Job summary

Serco is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support AFLCMC/WAG at Tinker AFB, OK. You will conduct research, development, testing, and sustainment of electrical and electronic systems for aeronautical platforms, serving as a technical expert and guiding architecture decisions.

The role requires a DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility, 12+ years of DoD/government engineering experience (or a Master’s with 10+ years), and SAP experience within the last 8 years.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from ABET accredited program with 12+ years DoD/government experience.
• Master’s Degree + 10+ years DoD/contractor experience (if applicable).
• Minimum 3 years SAP experience within the last 8 years.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Perform research, development, testing, evaluation, operation, and maintenance of electrical devices/systems on aeronautical vehicle systems and related avionics.
• Serve as technical expert and advise leadership on sustaining engineering issues.
• Develop and review system electrical/electronic design baselines and interoperability requirements.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for software, electrical, and electronics design and evaluation.
• Provide integration support for acquisition, development, sustainment, and verification of systems and software; follow USAF processes and V diagram.
• Evaluate system test plans and participate in system/subsystem/component testing.
• Provide electronics engineering support during root cause analyses and follow USAF 8-step process.
• Read/generate changes to electrical/electronic and mechanical drawings; interpret CAD outputs.
• Develop technical papers/presentations and communicate concepts to project team.
• Support development/review of program and contract documentation; conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals.
• Perform risk assessments and mitigation planning.
