Job summary

Serco seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to support a U.S. Air Force program at Tinker AFB, OK. You will conduct R&D, testing, and sustainment of avionics hardware and systems, applying best practices in system architecture and requirements.

The role requires an active DoD Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility, ABET-accredited electrical/electronics degrees, and 10–12+ years of DoD experience, plus SAP experience. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with 12+ years of DoD/contractor experience.
• Master’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and 10+ years of DoD/contractor experience.
• Minimum of 3 years SAP experience within the last 8 years.
• Travel up to 10% (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Perform research, development, testing, evaluation, operation and maintenance of electrical devices/systems on aeronautical vehicle systems and related avionics.
• Serve as the technical expert and advise leadership on sustaining engineering issues.
• Develop and review system electrical/electronic design baselines and interoperability requirements.
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for hardware/software development and testing.
• Provide integration support for acquisition, development, sustainment and verification of systems, software and equipment.
• Evaluate system test plans and participate in system, subsystem and component testing.
• Demonstrate familiarity with USAF technical orders and depot/field engineering support.
• Read and generate changes to electrical/electronic drawings and mechanical drawings.
• Develop technical papers/presentations and communicate concepts to the program team.
