Job summary

Eaton’s North American Sales division seeks an Application Engineer to join the team in Pleasanton, CA or Roseville, CA, focusing on power distribution across the Bay Area and Greater Sacramento region. You will lead design, development and validation of Eaton products and service applications, while serving as a technical leader and mentor to sales engineers and customers.

You will drive pre-sale technical support, analyze customer needs, and position Eaton products to win opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of electrical sales and/or electrical engineering experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of Pleasanton, CA or Roseville, CA (no relocation).
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and validation of Eaton products and service applications.
• Provide pre-sale application and technical support by analyzing and recommending solutions.
• Manage daily phone and email activity and provide guidance and recommendations.
• Train and mentor Technical Support Engineers and internal/external customers.
• Conduct product seminars and trainings for end users, consultants and sales engineers.
