Job summary

Eaton's North American Sales division is seeking an Application Engineer to join its team. This role can be based in Pleasanton, CA, or Roseville, CA, and will focus on power distribution solutions across the Bay Area and Greater Sacramento region.

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to lead the design, development, and validation of Eaton products and service applications while serving as a technical leader and mentor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of electrical sales and/or electrical engineering experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
• No relocation assistance and reside within 75 miles of Pleasanton, CA or Roseville, CA.
• No immigration sponsorship or support for CPT/OPT/STEM OPT/H‑1B etc. is offered.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and validation of Eaton products and service applications.
• Provide efficient pre-sale application and technical support to customers and sales teams.
• Present product value propositions and coordinate with marketing and engineering.
• Train and mentor Technical Support Engineers and other staff.
• Collaborate with consultants, engineers, and project teams on major initiatives.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
