Job summary

Marubeni-Itochu Steel America Inc. (MISA) seeks a Safety Manager to develop and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple locations in the US.

The role reports to the Corporate Planning Vice President and Investment Management Team, driving safety performance and regulatory compliance. The position requires leadership across facilities, conducting audits, incident investigations, and delivering training on lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and arc flash awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive safety or EHS experience.
• Experience with ISO 45001 implementation, maintenance, or auditing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies in compliance with OSHA and other requirements.
• Lead safety programs across multiple facilities and sites.
• Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations with root-cause analysis.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and safety training across locations.
