Job summary

A.W. Chesterton seeks a Manager of Environmental, Health & Safety to oversee EHS programs across multiple U.S. sites.

You will lead a team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in safety, environmental performance, and risk management. The role requires collaboration with manufacturing and service operations and implementing the EMS in line with ISO 14001. The position is on-site, with responsibilities across training, audits, incident investigations, and performance

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Experience negotiating with government officials, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Understanding machining, coatings, assembly, chemical use, energy controls.
• Self-directed and able to work on multiple initiatives.
• Experience building, maintaining EMS with internal audits and corrective actions.
• Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
• Develop and deploy EHS strategy to mitigate risk to people, property, and community.
• Apply policies, procedures across multiple facilities and admin areas.
• Manage all aspects of EHS programs: training, investigations, audits, metrics.
• Build and maintain EMS aligned with ISO 14001 requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action planning.
