Job summary

MEI Rigging & Crating is hiring an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead safety programs across the Dallas regional operations. The role focuses on incident-free field operations and promoting MEI’s safety culture.

You will design and enforce EHS policies, manage training, investigations, and incident investigations, and work with health clinics and insurers to ensure comprehensive safety management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, project construction management, or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ proven EHS experience, preferably in heavy construction.
• Minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience in developing and implementing site safety programs.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Excel and data entry.
• Current OSHA500/501 documentation or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, implements, and maintains EHS policies and programs.
• Supports training (SiteSpecific, Protocol, Forklift).
• Provides EHS system design, risk assessment, JSA, investigations, and root cause analysis.
• Manages incident prevention programs and regulatory compliance.
• Conducts site audits and pre-task plan/JHA approvals.
• Develops safety work instructions and JHA’s.
• Oversees injury claims processes and PPE programs.
• Coordinates with OSHA, vendors, and insurance carriers.
