Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Site Safety Manager to independently support multiple disciplines within the Rigging & Crating group. You will oversee site inspections, safety compliance, incident investigations, and training to ensure an incident-free operation across MEI sites.

The role requires 5+ years in EHS, OSHA 30, and either a safety degree or 3+ years of construction safety management, with appropriate certifications (ASP/CHST/CSP).

Qualifications

• Be able to recognize safety hazards in construction/manufacturing settings.
• Hold current First Aid, CPR and AED certifications.
• Possess OSHA 30-hour Construction Card updated every two years.
• Have a safety degree or 3+ years of construction safety management experience and at least one certification (ASP/CHST/CSP).
• Minimum 5 years of Environmental Health & Safety experience or safety experience in industry.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations via site inspections and safety compliance.
• Investigate incidents involving employees, materials, and equipment damage.
• Promote an incident-free operation and safety culture across MEI sites.
• Provide safety training and maintain required certifications for staff and subcontractors.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and SIPPS management.
• Develop, review, and instruction of safe work instructions and JHAs.
• Perform daily pre-task plan audits and risk assessments.
• Maintain administrative records including inspections and training logs.
