Job summary

MEI Rigging & Crating is seeking a Safety Manager to drive incident-free field operations across MEI sites and promote a strong safety culture. You will develop and enforce EHS programs, manage incident investigations, and oversee regulatory compliance with OSHA standards.

The role requires collaboration with site management, OH clinics, and insurance carriers to close claims and improve safety performance. A strong emphasis on training, audits, and risk assessment is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years proven Environmental Health & Safety experience in construction or manufacturing.
• 5+ years EHS experience at a multi-site organization.
• 5 years of experience working with OSHA standards.
• 5 years of experience working in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Proactively executes and maintains MEI EHS policies, guidelines, procedures and programs.
• Supports MEI sites with required training (Site Specific, Protocol, OSHA, Forklift, etc.).
• Provide program technical and administrative support in safety design, risk assessment, JHA development, and EHS system programming.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis with IRB and site management.
• Manage SIPPS, hot-work permits, confined space, HAZCOM, and SDS compliance.
