Job summary

Bunge Environmental, Health & Safety Manager role in Remington, IN leads plant EHS programs to prevent injuries and incidents while ensuring regulatory compliance. You’ll partner with plant leadership to implement training, track incidents, and drive a safety-first culture across operations.

The position requires 10+ years of EHS experience and a Bachelor’s degree, plus strong communication and coaching skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental/Health Science, Engineering, or closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of safety and environmental experience.
• Proven track record improving SIF potential incidents and high potential exposures.
• Strong knowledge of EHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and update EHS standards and programs with focus on eliminating SIF and HPE.
• Provide technical EHS support to plant leadership and workforce.
• Coach and develop employees to lead with safety and promote a safety-first culture.
• Implement EHS training programs for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Support deployment of HOP philosophy and tools.
• Monitor policies, permits and regulatory compliance locally and globally.
• Conduct observations and audits to ensure program effectiveness and compliance.
• Track injuries, illnesses, near-misses and environmental incidents; investigate and prevent recurrence.
• Promote environmental sustainability and collaborate with corporate teams.
• Maintain fire protection and security systems; liaise with insurers and coordinate responses.
• Manage emergency response plans and safety programs for environmental events.
• Support PSM and RMP programs for locations with solvents, hydrogen, ammonia, or combustible dust.
• Serve as liaison with government agencies for EHS matters.
• Lead local safety teams and collaborate with corporate safety and environmental teams.
