Job summary

Bunge operates a plant in Gibson City, Illinois, seeking an experienced EHS leader to drive health, safety and environmental programs. You will ensure compliance, prevent serious injuries and incidents, and lead continuous improvement across all EHS processes.

You'll report to the plant manager and collaborate with plant leadership, frontline workers and corporate teams to sustain a safety-first culture, manage training, permits, and safety audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental/Health Science, Engineering, or closely related degree.
• 10+ years of safety and environmental experience.
• Experience improving SIF and HPE.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Facilitation/presentation skills with ability to influence others.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS leadership and technical expertise for the plant.
• Implement, maintain and update EHS standards and programs to promote a best-in-class EHS program.
• Coach and develop employees on safety and a safety-first culture.
• Implement EHS training for all employees, contractors and visitors.
• Monitor policies and permits to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Perform observations and audits to prevent injuries and environmental incidents.
• Lead safety teams and collaborate with corporate safety and environmental teams.
