Job summary

Bunge seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead the safety and environmental programs at the Destrehan plant. You will champion a safety-first culture, coordinate with plant leadership and corporate EHS teams, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Key responsibilities include program management, training, incident analysis, audits, and emergency planning, with emphasis on reducing SIFs and high-potential exposures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental/Health Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in safety and environmental.
• Experience improving SIF potential incidents and HPEs.
• Experience applying EHS standards and compliance, and promoting a safe environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to influence and motivate others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise in all EHS matters for the plant.
• Implement, maintain, and update all EHS programs and plans to meet standards and regulations.
• Ensure adherence to global and local EHS requirements; maintain permits and records.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Track, investigate, and analyze injuries, illnesses, near misses, and environmental incidents; implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular observations, inspections, and audits of EHS programs.
• Promote environmental sustainability initiatives and track progress.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans; oversee fire protection and security systems.
• Implement HOP principles to strengthen safety culture.
• Communicate EHS information to leadership, employees, contractors, and visitors.
