Bunge Morristown, Indiana seeks an Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist to implement safety programs and continuously improve injury prevention and regulatory compliance. This role will train staff, inspect facilities, manage regulatory records, and support process safety management for solvents, hydrogen, ammonia, and chlorine.

Responsibilities include incident tracking, investigations, and contributing to environmental sustainability initiatives at the site; coordination with insurers

Qualifications

• Degree preferred or up to 3 years of safety or environmental experience required.
• Demonstrated experience with improving serious injury/fatality (SIF) potential incidents and high potential exposures (HPEs).
• Experience applying EHS standards and regulations to promote a safe workplace.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to influence others.
• Proficiency in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software.

Responsabilités

• Support and implement organization safety programs to ensure a safe, healthy and incident-free environment; ensure compliance with safety policies by staff, contractors and visitors.
• Communicate safety issues and policy changes to plant personnel; conduct safety/regulatory training for staff and visitors.
• Inspect facility areas for compliance with SHE policies and regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
• Maintain and organize regulatory records; oversee site-specific regulatory programs (OSHA, etc.).
• Track injuries and equipment damage events; assist management with accident investigations to identify root causes and prevention measures.
• Support environmental sustainability initiatives at the facility; assist with Loss Prevention Control inspections focusing on fire prevention and protection equipment.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation claims with insurers; assist in process safety management (PSM) for solvents, hydrogen, ammonia, chlorine at the site.
• Assist in implementing fire protection and security systems to protect property.
