Job summary

Bunge Environmental, Health & Safety Manager in Gibson City, IL, leads the plant's EHS programs, ensuring safety-first culture and regulatory compliance. This role reports to the plant manager and drives continuous improvement across SIF, HPE, and environmental permits.

Responsibilities include implementing EHS standards, coaching teams, conducting training, performing audits, and partnering with corporate safety and environmental teams to protect people and the environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental/Health Science, Engineering or related field is required.
• 10+ years of safety and environmental experience required.
• Demonstrated success applying EHS standards and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and update EHS standards and programs to promote a Best-in-Class EHS program with a focus on eliminating SIF & HPE.
• Provide technical EHS support to plant leadership and workforce.
• Coach and develop employees on safety leadership.
• Implement EHS training for all employees, contractors and visitors.
• Monitor policies to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
• Perform observations and audits to prevent injuries and environmental incidents.
• Track injuries, near misses, environmental incidents and assist in prevention methods.
• Promote environmental sustainability and collaborate with corporate environmental team.
• Coordinate emergency plans and liaise with insurance inspectors.
