Job summary

Sixt Rent A Car seeks an Environmental Health and Safety leader to build and own the EHS management system across U.S. branches, service bays, and fueling operations.

You will implement policies, ensure federal OSHA and state-plan compliance, manage records, and drive ESG-aligned safety standards. You will develop emergency action plans, lead safety training, and coordinate workers’ compensation with HR and insurers, while traveling ~40% across the network.

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive EHS experience.
• 3+ years owning multi-site programs.
• Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, engineering or related field.
• CSP/ASP preferred; CHMM or CIH a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own EHS management system: programs, policies, standards for branches and operations.
• Ensure OSHA/state-plan compliance across US locations; manage recordkeeping.
• Develop emergency action and disaster plans; coordinate drills and business continuity.
• Lead safety trainings; track completion and report EHS KPIs to leadership.
• Qualify contractors/vendors and align with corporate ESG reporting.
