Job summary

SIXT is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety leader to build and own the EHS system across the U.S. You will establish standards, programs, and culture to keep people safe and the business moving, partnering with leaders and impacting metrics from injuries to compliance.

You’ll own OSHA recordkeeping, environmental compliance, and emergency plans, and you’ll drive training, audits, and KPI reporting to executive leadership. 40% travel across branches is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive EHS experience with 3+ years owning multi-site programs.
• Automotive, fleet, rental, logistics or aviation ground ops experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in safety/occupational health or related field; CSP/ASP preferred.
• Willingness to travel across the U.S. (roughly 40%).

Responsibilities

• Own and build SIXT US’s EHS management system, programs, and standards.
• Ensure OSHA/state-plan compliance and recordkeeping for all locations.
• Maintain environmental compliance (oil, refrigerants, waste, SPCC).
• Develop safety training matrices, audits, and KPI reporting.
• Lead emergency action and disaster plans; coordinate with leadership.
