Job summary

Veolia in North America seeks an experienced EH&S professional to administer and interpret environmental, health, and safety policies across Azusa operations. You will liaison with EH&S personnel, train staff in emergency response, and lead site risk assessments to maintain high safety standards.

The role requires a BS in Chemistry or related field, 5–8 years in hazardous waste, and at least 3 years solving complex problems. Travel about 10% will be needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or a related discipline or equivalent work experience required.
• 5 to 8 years in the hazardous waste industry preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in a problem‑solving capacity required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer OSHA, medical surveillance, and substance abuse programs.
• Coordinate workers' compensation, accident, and injury management programs.
• Implement industrial hygiene, safety, regulatory and transportation programs.
• Chair improvement teams on EH&S programs and advise at various levels.
• Provide guidance on regulatory compliance and changes.
• Provide training in EH&S topics as needed.
• Research and investigate to support EH&S policy development.
• Approximately 10% travel required.
