Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a Manager of Health & Safety to lead Management Systems and H&S initiatives across assigned operations. The role trains workforce, develops policies, and drives continuous improvement to reach high standards of safety and compliance.

You will partner with Project Managers and site coordinators, review incident histories, and support training programs while ensuring OSHA, EPA and DOT requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in safety, environmental science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience with Management Systems and Health & Safety programs.
• Working knowledge of EPA and OSHA, and DOT regulations.
• ISO/Six Sigma coursework is a plus.
• Experience in industrial environments managing health and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety performance and ensure compliance with Management Systems and H&S rules.
• Lead or participate in audits, investigations, and root cause analyses.
• Develop, implement and maintain H&S training and awareness programs.
• Collaborate with PMs, site safety coordinators and cross-functional teams.
• Provide guidance on incident management and non-conformity resolution.
• Prepare reports and stay within annual financial plan for self and team.
• Coordinate continuous improvement across EMS and quality-related programs.
