Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an experienced EH&S professional to lead environmental, health, and safety programs across the Azusa Branch. The role coordinates with EH&S personnel and site teams to ensure compliance and provide training on safety practices.

Responsibilities include implementing OSHA and medical surveillance programs, managing worker’s compensation and incident response, and developing risk assessments to maintain high safety standards. ~ travel 10% required.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 5–8 years in hazardous waste industry preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in a problem-solving capacity.

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer OSHA, medical surveillance, and substance abuse programs.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation, accidents, and injury management with facility personnel.
• Implement industrial hygiene, safety, regulatory and transportation programs and update plans as needed.
• Chair improvement teams for EH&S programs and recommend national or local modifications.
• Provide guidance to management on regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Provide training in environmental, site remediation, reactive chemical operations, and emergency response.
