Job summary

Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) seeks a capable supervisor for a child/youth program at Fort Meade. You will oversee a team of direct care staff and volunteers, ensure program quality, and implement corrective actions when needed.

This role requires strong leadership and adherence to DoD standards. The incumbent will coordinate with the Training Specialist, conduct observations, and address personnel concerns while promoting safety and wellness across all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in child/youth related field.
• Six months experience supervising caregivers within child/youth programs.
• Ability to obtain required background checks and immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises an assigned team of direct care staff and volunteers.
• Conducts and reviews program evaluations to identify improvements and implement corrective actions.
• May serve as Manager on Duty in the absence of program Director or Assistant Director.
• Works with Training Specialist to observe staff and assess performance against standards.
• Resolves personnel complaints and promotes safety, fitness, health, and nutrition practices.
