Job summary

The Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) Child and Youth Services program seeks staff to provide developmentally appropriate care and instruction for children and youth from 6 weeks to 18 years. You will supervise activities, implement planned curricula, assist with meals, and respond to emergencies across indoor and outdoor settings.

Candidates must meet entry-level requirements with a HS diploma or GED, effective English communication, and willingness to obtain DoW training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Entry level requires HS diploma; Skill level requires 6 months group program experience with children/youth.
• Target level requires 12 months group program experience and related education or credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provides appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years in CYS programs.
• Supervises and accounts for whereabouts and safety of children during daily routines and activities.
• Implements planned activities using prepared curricula and materials, including group and individual activities.
• Assists with arranging snacks or meals and responding to emergencies and health needs.
• May work evenings, weekends, or holidays to support program schedules.
