Job summary

Army Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) seeks a reliable childcare professional to support Child and Youth Services programs. The role involves developmental care for children aged 6 weeks to 18 years and supervision during routines, field trips, and events.

You will implement activities from prepared curricula, assist with meals, and respond to emergencies. Compliance with immunization and training requirements is essential for ongoing employment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to recognize and respond to emergencies and safety needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth, ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years.
• Actively supervises and accounts for whereabouts and safety of children and youth during daily routines, indoor and outdoor activities, on field trips, outings, and special events.
• Assists in implementing planned, developmentally appropriate activities, schedules, and routines using prepared curriculum, activity plans, and materials.
• Helps arrange for or serve snacks or meals.
• Identifies and responds to emergency situations including evacuations, illness, and physical and emotional needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
