Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join the Nuclear Services Environmental Licensing Team.

Based in Plano, TX or nearby offices, you will lead environmental analyses, interact with NRC and other regulatory agencies, and gather data during site visits to support nationwide licensing projects. You will prepare reports, develop technical content, mentor junior staff, and contribute to proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental consulting, nuclear power, or related field
• Working knowledge of ESA, NEPA, MBTA, BGEPA, etc.
• Experience with federal or state regulatory agencies
• Experience developing technical reports and regulatory reviews
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency using MS Word and MS Excel
• Ability to travel/work in the field ~5% of time

Responsibilities

• Environmental Impact Assessment & Compliance: conduct reviews per NRC/NEPA, regulatory guidelines; support licensing applications
• Data Collection & Site Evaluation: site visits to gather environmental data for reports
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: interact with agencies, stakeholders, and public; present complex info
• Fieldwork & Environmental Protection: develop and implement protection measures; conduct resource evaluations
• Mentorship & Proposal Support: mentor junior staff; assist in proposals and statements of qualification
