Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Ecologist to support nuclear environmental licensing nationwide.

You will lead environmental reviews, interact with regulatory agencies, and gather data during site visits while preparing detailed reports and supporting licensing submissions. The role involves developing complex information for both technical and non-technical audiences, mentoring junior staff, and occasional fieldwork with about 5% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field required.
• 7+ years in environmental consulting, nuclear power, or related field preferred.
• Experience with regulatory agencies and environmental reporting is expected.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Willingness to travel about 5% for fieldwork and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental reviews to assess impacts of nuclear facilities on resources.
• Prepare environmental reports and biological assessments per NRC/NEPA guidelines.
• Gather data during site visits and support licensing applications.
• Develop technical content for reports and site feasibility assessments.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to proposals and qualifications.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Regulatory knowledge (ESA, NEPA, MBTA, BGEPA)

Experience in environmental consulting or nuclear industry

Report writing and data interpretation

Fieldwork coordination and data collection

Travel ability 5% with field visits
