Job summary

CDM Smith is hiring an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects. The role focuses on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental projects within the Environmental Services Group.

You will work with teams to develop data quality objectives, QA/QC plans, sampling and analysis plans, and exposure models. Travel may be required, and mentorship of junior staff is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or related discipline with professional scientist registration/certification.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency depends on workload.

Responsibilities

• Support site investigations and interpretation of data for human health risk assessments (HHRAs) and ecological risk assessments (ERAs).
• Contribute to development of DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs for projects.
• Assist in planning for CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, and BERAs for basic to high complexity.
• Collaborate with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
• Provide technical evaluation of client documents and support client meetings.
