Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects in the Environmental Services Group. The role focuses on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental projects within CDM Smith’s portfolio.

You will assist with data quality objectives, sampling plans, and development of exposure models, while collaborating with scientists and engineers to implement approved project approaches and provide

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline is required or Master’s degree in Science or related discipline.
7 years of related experience is required.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Supports site investigations and analysis for human health and ecological risk assessments (HHRAs and ERAs).
Contributes to data quality objectives (DQOs), QAPPs, and SAPs.
Prepares CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs and BERAs for basic to high complexity.
Collaborates with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
Provides technical evaluation on oversite projects and participates in client meetings.
Mentors junior staff and supports growth within the discipline.
