Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. You will assist with regulatory compliance efforts for federal, state, and local environmental projects across CDM Smith’s portfolio.

You’ll collaborate with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists to apply risk assessment methods, develop data quality objectives, QAPPs, SAPs, and support project tasks from concept

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; professional scientist registration/certification optional.
• 7 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• U.S. or international travel contingent on duties and workload.
• Equivalent additional experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Supports site investigations and data interpretation for human health and ecological risk assessments (HHRAs/ERAs).
• Develops DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs for projects.
• Prepares conceptual site exposure models and HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs.
• Collaborates with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
• Provides technical evaluation of client documents and supports client meetings.
