Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. You will assist with regulatory compliance efforts across federal, state, and local environmental projects in CDM Smith’s portfolio.

Responsibilities include supporting site investigations, developing data quality objectives, SAPs, and exposure models, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field; professional scientist registration/certification OR Master’s degree in Science or related field.
• 7 years of related experience; travel may be required as described in the posting.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience accepted in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support site investigations and interpretation of data for human health and ecological risk assessments.
• Assist with development of DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs.
• Contribute to CSEM, HHRAs, SLERAs and BERAs of varying complexity.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists to implement approved project approaches.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff.
