Job summary

Covenant HealthCare in Michigan seeks an experienced Registered Echocardiogram Technologist to produce high quality echocardiograms and assist with stress testing procedures. You will also perform vascular testing as required by the department and operate multiple machines, ensuring patient comfort and clear communication with physicians.

The role requires strong customer service, adherence to standards, and ongoing licensure maintenance through CEU credits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Registered Echocardiogram Technologist certification required.
• Evidence of continuing education in echocardiography.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Two to three years of clinical echocardiogram experience.
• Vascular ultrasound experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to organization targets for net operating margin.
• Models Covenant's Mission, Vision and Values of Extraordinary Care.
• Perform two-dimensional echocardiograms with all views requested by physicians.
• Perform color flow and Doppler as routine extensions of the echocardiogram.
• Perform stress echo testing and pharmacological stress echo testing.
• Confers with physicians about abnormalities found during testing.
• Complete paperwork and billing for charts, files and physicians.
• Keep equipment and patient rooms clean.
• Troubleshoot machines and call for service when needed.
• Work as a team with Quality Assurance and accreditation efforts.
• Obtain adequate CEU credits to maintain licensure.
