Job summary

McLeod Health is seeking a registered sonographer to perform adult echocardiography and stress/echo tests. You will greet patients, prepare them for procedures, position them appropriately, and explain what to expect.

You will also process images to ensure quality and assist physicians in establishing and following imaging protocols. Responsibilities include maintaining logs, providing preliminary reports, and ongoing professional development through continuing education and in-services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Echocardiogram Technology program.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer license.

Responsibilities

• Greets and confirms patients, assists patient with attire for procedure.
• Explains procedure length and positions patient for procedure.
• Selects and utilizes technical factors for procedure based on body habitus and pathology.
• Processes completed images ensuring interpretable quality.
• Maintains work logs and provides preliminary reports.
• Works with physicians to ensure protocols are established and met.
