Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced ECH Field Engineer to deploy and support our on-premise and cloud-hosted Emergency Call Handling solutions across the US. The role requires extensive travel (50-75%), independent work, and strong virtualization/Windows/Linux/SQL skills.

A high school diploma or higher is required, with security clearance eligibility. The position is remote with 75% travel, supporting cloud migrations, system upgrades, and customer negotiations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Engineering or Technical environment.
• Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) a plus.
• CompTIA Network+ and Security+ required/advantageous.
• Experience with cloud-based troubleshooting and identity management.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (ESXi, KVM, Hyper-V).
• SQL Server administration and Windows Server experience.
• Linux experience and Cisco IOS networking knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Configure and verify ECH solutions including hybrid cloud and SaaS.
• Perform site verification testing before production cutover.
• Troubleshoot connectivity between local and cloud environments.
• Support customers and partners during deployment.
• Document changes including cloud configurations and API integrations.
• Resolve installation and quality issues in a timely manner.
• Develop and approve methods of procedure for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participate in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintain expertise in cloud-native public safety technologies.
