Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States seeks an Emergency Call Handling Field Engineer to oversee on-site configuration, testing, cutover and post-cut support for ECH solutions, both on-premise and cloud-hosted.

This remote role requires up to 75% travel domestically and internationally, with 3+ years deploying complex IP products and strong virtualization/Windows/Linux skills. Salary range is disclosed by base pay.

Qualifications

• 3+ years deployment or integration of complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, MS, CompTIA) relevant to role.
• Cloud-based application troubleshooting including connectivity, latency, and identity management (SSO/AD).
• Installation, administration, and troubleshooting of virtualization and server OSs.
• Networking hardware and security knowledge including Cisco IOS and Fortinet FortiGate.
• Active Directory knowledge for account segregation and role assignments.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for ECH solutions including hybrid cloud and SaaS apps.
• Performs site verification testing prior to production cutover.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local and cloud environments.
• Provides support to customers and channel partners during deployment.
• Documents changes to cloud tenants and API integrations during deployment.
• Ensures installation/quality issues are resolved timely.
• Contributes to MOPs for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Supports pre-contract presentations and negotiations as needed.
• Maintains skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
