Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer to lead on-site configuration, testing, cutovers, and post-cut support for ECH solutions. This remote role requires travel across the US and internationally, with the majority of assignments in public safety deployments.

You will configure hybrid cloud and SaaS components, troubleshoot connectivity, and document changes across cloud tenants and API integrations, collaborating with customers and partners to ensure

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher in CS/Engineering/IT or Technology.
• 5+ years in engineering or technical environment.
• US work authorization and ability to obtain security clearance.
• US citizenship or eligibility for security clearance.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% (domestic/international).

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for all supported ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications.
• Performs site verification testing prior to cutting a site into a production environment.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud-hosted environments.
• Provides support to Customer and Channel Partners during deployment of the ECH solution.
• Documents changes to cloud tenant configurations and API integrations during implementation.
• Ensures installation/quality issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
• Participates in development and approval of Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations and system upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations as required.
• Maintains subject matter expert skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
