Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking a Senior Underwriter for E&S and complex property accounts. You will independently underwrite, price, structure, and negotiate coverage within authority while building broker relationships to grow a profitable nationwide portfolio.

The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage large property risks, and collaboration with Risk Engineering, Claims, Actuarial, and underwriting teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions. Hybrid work in IL and TX offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in finance, business, or risk management.
• 3+ years of direct E&S Property underwriting experience or 5+ years in broader property underwriting.
• Experience underwriting large accounts and layered property programs is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite, price, and structure complex E&S property risks within delegated authority.
• Review submissions, assess exposures, loss history, valuation, and financials.
• Develop new business with brokers and manage portfolio performance to meet profitability objectives.
• Collaborate with Risk Engineering, Claims, Actuarial, and other internal stakeholders to evaluate risks and insurance solutions.
