Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking an experienced property underwriter to drive profitable growth across the United States. You will underwrite complex property risks and manage end-to-end underwriting processes in alignment with company guidelines.

Responsibilities include reviewing applications, pricing with regulatory conformance, and monitoring premiums and loss trends. You will build and maintain broker networks and client relationships, supporting cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years of multi-line underwriting background preferred.
• Negotiation and production skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites profitable property business on a nationwide basis.
• Selects and underwrites complex property risks within delegated authority.
• Reviews applications to determine acceptability of risk per guidelines.
• Performs all underwriting processes and due diligence including financial analysis.
• Applies pricing techniques according to filings and conformance.
• Monitors results, premiums and loss trends within the book of business.
• Develops and cultivates broker and client relationships in assigned territory.
• Source new business through broker and client networks.
• Conducts producer and client visits with cross-functional teams to grow business.
• Assists in training and development of department staff.
