Job summary

CGS is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to manage the e-billing and payment cycle workflow, including posting payments and coordinating charge corrections. The role requires strong leadership and collaboration with the Controller and Accounting teams.

The ideal candidate will have five years of legal billing/receivables experience, deep accounting knowledge, and advanced e-billing skills, with the ability to coach staff and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Five years of legal billing/receivables experience and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and billing software; Advanced experience in e-billing.
• Two years of supervisory experience in similar role and ability to lead.
• Advanced knowledge of MS applications including Excel, Outlook, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the e-billing and payment cycle workflow, including posting payments and handling charge corrections.
• Prepare monthly, semi-monthly and ad-hoc billing reports for internal and external clients.
• Ensure timely invoice submission based on established timelines and service level agreements.
• Supervise e-billing and receivables staff; assess performance and provide coaching as needed.
• Collaborate with Controller and Accounting to improve billing processes for accuracy and speed.
• Support internal and external auditors as requested.
