Job summary

CGS Federal seeks a Senior Billing Specialist to lead the e-billing and payment cycle workflow, including posting payments, correcting charges, and monthly reconciliation with bank deposits. This role reports to the Financial Department and partners with Controllers to drive accuracy and timeliness in billing operations.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in legal billing/receivables, strong accounting knowledge, and proven supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Five years of legal billing/receivables experience and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles and billing software; Advanced experience in e-billing.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate observance of e-billing requirements and processes.
• Prepares monthly, semi-monthly and ad-hoc billing reports for internal and external clients.
• Ensures timely invoice submission to clients based on established timelines.
• Creates and distributes ad-hoc operational and billing reports to management as requested.
• Works with Controller and Accounting to improve timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency of billing processes.
• Supports internal and external auditors as requested.
• Supervises e-billing and receivables staff.
• Evaluates staff skill levels and coordinates training as needed.
