Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Senior DSP/SDR Engineer to advance advanced signal processing and software-defined radio solutions for national security programs. You will work on RF front-ends, FPGA-based processing, and DSP algorithms in embedded environments, collaborating with government customers and Aerospace program offices.

This on-site role requires eight+ years of experience, a bachelor’s in EE, and the ability to obtain a TS/SSBI clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in progressively more responsible roles.
• Experience in a laboratory environment working with SDRs or FPGAs, and RF test equipment.
• Experience in developing and implementing DSP algorithms in embedded environments for deliverable systems on CPU or FPGA-based platforms.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SSBI security clearance, US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Solve technically challenging problems in communications, signals collection, and data processing.
• Provide technical consultation and guidance to management, customers, and contractors.
• Lead cross-organizational teams and interface with customers and Aerospace program offices.
• Independently conduct technical studies, analyses, experiments, and simulations and report findings.
• Leverage SDR hardware platforms, FPGA toolchains, and RF test equipment to develop prototypes and conduct tests.
• Act as organization’s representative at technical meetings and conferences.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
