Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks an Engineering Specialist for the Mission Payloads Division in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on research, development and acquisition of advanced communications and signal processing systems, with hands-on modeling, simulation, and stakeholder coordination.

Requirements include a bachelor’s in EE and 8+ years in comms/signal processing, willingness to travel, and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required). TS/SCI is a plus.

Qualifications

• :Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• :Eight (8) years of experience in communications and signal processing (modeling & simulation).
• :Willing to travel domestically up to ~10% of the time.
• :Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D and acquisition of advanced communications and signal processing systems.
• Perform analysis, modeling and simulation of systems.
• Engage with Civil, DoD and IC customers, including NRO.
• Lead studies, coordinate tasks, form teams; interface with stakeholders.
• Represent the organization at meetings and symposia.
