Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, Virginia seeks an Advanced RF Electronics Engineer (Senior Project Leader – Payload Systems Engineering – RF) to lead RF studies and maturation efforts for national security systems. You will prototype, model, and evaluate RF concepts while coordinating with government customers and Aerospace teams.

The role requires a 12+ year track record in engineering or related fields, a technical Bachelor's degree, and an active TS/SBI/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or another technical discipline.
• 12 years of progressive engineering/scientific experience including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments.
• Experience with signal processing, RF technologies or SIGINT systems.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and peers.
• Domestic travel ~5–10% may be required.
• Active TS/SBI/SCI security clearance and polygraph; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate cutting edge RF technologies and mature them for implementation across National Security Systems.
• Integrate Aerospace expertise in prototyping, testing, and modeling to speed maturation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify capabilities and paths for implementation.
• Communicate findings to senior government officials and support technology transitions.
• Lead engineering studies to analyze RF collection system designs and performance trade-offs.
