Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an entry-level DSP & SDR Engineer to join the Mission Payloads Division in Chantilly, VA. You will work on cutting-edge radio frequency and digital signal processing tasks, contributing to satellite payloads and advanced sensing systems.

Ideal candidates have 0-1 year of experience, familiarity with MATLAB/Python/C, and a willingness to travel up to 10%. This on-site role requires the ability to obtain a TS/SSBI clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE/CE/CS/Physics (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
• 0-1 year of industry work experience.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or C.
• Exposure to a laboratory environment with common RF test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
• Understanding of basic DSP principles (modulation, filtering, sampling).
• Willing to travel domestically up to 10%.
• Ability to obtain TS/SSBI security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience with SDR hardware platforms and RF test equipment.
• Solve challenging problems in communications, signals processing, and hardware prototyping.
• Document and present findings to diverse audiences; support studies/experiments/simulations.
• Collaborate with cross-organizational teams and interface with customers and program offices.
