Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an RF/Antenna Engineer in Chantilly, VA to advance antenna design and RF systems for national security space missions. The role focuses on electromagnetics, modeling, testing, and prototype development within MPD.

Requires a Master’s in EE/Physics, 0–1 year experience, and ability to obtain a security clearance. Strong collaboration and hands-on lab work are essential.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in EE, Physics, or STEM; conferred within 12 months.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • 0–1 year of industry work experience.
  • Knowledge of EM theory, antenna design and RF concepts.
  • Experience with EM simulation software (HFSS) and programming (MATLAB/Python).
  • Ability to analyze requirements and document simulation/test results.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in electromagnetics, antennas, and RF systems.
  • Perform antenna and RF modeling and simulations at component, subsystem and system levels.
  • Utilize lab facilities including anechoic chamber, RF lab, HPC resources, for testing/prototyping.
  • Hands-on experience implementing RF/antenna prototypes and field tests.
  • Support evaluation and improvement of designs via test data analysis.
  • Participate in cross-functional reviews and research studies.
