Job summary

Raytheon, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer with strong DSP and FPGA design skills to join the Radar Digital Products Department in MA. The role focuses on developing DSP algorithms and FPGA-based interfaces, requiring collaboration across systems, hardware, and software teams.

The position supports on-site work at Tewksbury or Marlborough, MA, with a requirement for DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain interim clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of experience.
• Experience implementing DSP functions in FPGAs using VHDL/Verilog and VHDL simulation tools.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces and timing closure.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA-based DSP design and development from concept to production.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, software engineers and program management to ensure product success.
• Translate system requirements into FPGA requirements and implement in VHDL/Verilog.
• Design and deliver production-quality FPGA releases and documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
