Job summary

Raytheon’s Radar Digital Products (RDP) department seeks a Principal level Electrical Engineer to develop FPGA-based designs for radar control and signal processing. You will translate system requirements into FPGA specs, lead design efforts, and collaborate with hardware, software and systems teams to deliver robust solutions.

You will verify designs with constrained random tests, develop documentation, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining program milestones and security compliance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in digital design and VHDL/Verilog coding.
• Experience with FPGA architectures and vendor tools.
• Ability to translate system requirements into FPGA specs.

Responsibilities

• Own or contribute to FPGA-based designs on time and budget.
• Lead small teams and mentor junior engineers when needed.
• Design and deliver production-ready FPGA releases.
• Create documentation including requirements and verification plans.
• Collaborate across hardware, software, and systems teams.
