Job summary

Raytheon Radar Digital Products (RDP) seeks an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to verify FPGA-based designs for radar control and signal processing. The role may be based in Tewksbury or Marlborough, MA, onsite.

You will own or contribute to on-time, on-budget FPGA projects, verify with constrained-random tests using UVM, and develop complete verification documentation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Digital design verification experience.
• Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog for design and verification.
• Hands-on experience building UVM testbenches from scratch.
• Solid knowledge of constrained-random verification and functional coverage.
• Familiarity with AXI, PCIe, Ethernet, and DDR protocols.
• Experience with industry-standard simulators (Questa, VCS, Xcelium).
• Experience with regression management and debugging complex failures.
• Version control in a team environment (Git, ClearCase, SVN).

Responsibilities

• Own or contribute to FPGA-based designs, on time and on budget.
• Verify designs using self-checking techniques with directed and constrained-random tests, tracking functional and code coverage with UVM.
• Create complete verification documentation including verification plan and report.
• Demonstrate self-motivation with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, software engineers and program management for product success.
• Support internal and external technical reviews.
